It’s Time for a Parking Lot Makeover

It’s Time for a Parking Lot Makeover

There are some things in life that you don’t really notice until you see it done poorly. Some examples are haircuts, slow internet, or a red light when you’re in a hurry. An asphalt parking lot is also one of these examples. Your customers probably don’t notice the details of your parking lot when they pull into your business unless there are problems or mistakes. We’re sure we are a little biased, but we do notice beautiful lots, in addition to problematic ones, and we want yours to be one of them. If your customers are pulling into a run-down lot, what does that say about your overall business practices? Show them you take pride in all aspects of how you run your business by greeting them with a well-managed parking lot with maintained sidewalks and steps.

Asphalt Updates and Repairs

Spring is a great time to perform needed updates and repairs on your lot. Maybe your lot could use repaving or sealing, or maybe it is in need of some significant repairs. Address them before they become bigger problems. If it’s in decent shape, you can still consider repainting the striping throughout your lot not only for looks but for liability as well. If your lot isn’t clearly marked, you can be liable for any accidents that occur as a result. Maybe this is the year to get creative with your marks and add some artistic flare to your parking lot with some painted designs. You can try out widening your parking spaces if you’ve heard complaints about the tight fits for larger vehicles, or alternatively, if you need to add a couple more spots, figure out a new configuration to make room for some more parking spaces. Consider the state codes and make sure you have enough lots of handicap parking and that you have the proper ramps in place and spacing for wheelchair access. Go Pave Utah’s experts know how to maximize space in a lot, and we’re happy to provide advice as well as inform you on state code needs.

Concrete Maintenance

Most asphalt parking lots still have some concrete portions. If you have concrete steps, ramps, sidewalks, and/or stairs, make sure they are level and free of cracks or tripping hazards. People need safe and easy access into your business, and any falls on your property are your responsibility. If you’ve noticed some minor damage and have been putting off repairs, don’t put it off any longer. Often, small repairs can be handled quickly and will save you money because you won’t need to make a huge repair later down the road.

Because your parking lot and entry way is the face of your company, give it a face lift this spring with Go Pave Utah’s expert services. Our team is efficient, so you don’t have to worry about closing up shop for days on end and losing business. With a parking lot update, your office space will look clean and maintained, sending a positive message to everyone who drives by.
